Don’t panic when encountering unexpected situations—handle them like this:
- If you’re late for the date: Notify the other person 30 minutes in advance, explain the reason and apologize. When you arrive, take the initiative to buy them a drink as a small gesture of compensation.
- If the restaurant is a letdown: Say with a smile, “This place doesn’t seem to suit our taste. Let’s find a better one together next time.” Avoid complaining or blaming others—this shows your generosity.
- If the other person has a last-minute emergency: Say, “It’s okay, we can reschedule later. Go take care of your business first.” Don’t pester them or get angry—this demonstrates your thoughtfulness.
